I am the type of person who enjoys spending time reading books. Apart from my full-time job as a nurse in Henan Central Hospital for Traditional Chinese Medicine (http://www.hnszyy.com.cn/) in Zhengzhou, I also completed a three-year English study - 1993-1996 - at the Henan University (http://www.henu.edu.cn/) as well as the bachelor study in law at the Henan University for Politics and Right (http://www.hnzf.edu.cn/).

Englisch

Since I have a natural interest in foreign languages and cultures, and English is the most commonly used language, to study and improve my English ability seemed to be important for me. My study of English at the Henan University (http://www.henu.edu.cn/) was designed to enlarge the students’ English vocabulary and improve the general language abilities such as reading, oral English, composition, and listening comprehension. Besides, we were supposed to be familiar with history and the political system mainly in Great Britain, but also in the United State of American.

My English study has been a very helpful experiences for me to learn the second foreign language German.

Law

Some acquaintances of mine were lawyers. My contacts with them convinced me that it is important to know the legal structure of a country, in which one lives. In June 1996, I passed the entrance exam for the law studies at the Henan University for Politics and Right (http://www.hnzf.edu.cn/) well, and then successfully completed the Bachelor law studies there.

In this study, we were supposed to learn the basic knowledge within the different legal ranges. I was interested in particular in civilian and criminal law. It prepared me to have much joy with the legal bases to employ regulations as well as regulations civilian and criminal law both from view of the theory and from the view of practice.

Completing these two degrees within five years apart from my full-time job as a nurse required determination, persistence, as well as time management. Owing to much understanding and support of my colleagues, I was able to change the hours of work with colleagues and took night shifts often. Despite inconvenience and the fact that I had to give up spare time, I felt motivated, fulfilling, and content.

American Studies and Economic Science (M. A.)

My interest in literature began ever since my junior high school years. But to study literature in Germany was one of the most important enrichments in my life.

After I had attended two semesters of German courses at the Institute for language in Kassel (http://www.ifs-kassel.de/) and at the language center of the University of Kassel (http://www.uni-kassel.de/sprz/)I passed the language examination DSH (German Language University Entrance Exam for Foreign Students). I was enrolled in April 2001 at the Unversity of Kassel (http://cms.uni-kassel.de/) studying American literature, history, and economics.

Six years have now passed since I was sitting in my literature class (orientation course) and was amazed at the depth and breadth of the knowledge our professor possessed. The enthusiasm of the professor, his inspiring voice when he elaborated the poems of William Shakespeare (1564-1616) as well as the British poet William Wordsworth (1770-1850), the absorbed more than one hundred students as well as the quietness and stillness of the classroom, all these I remember so well as if it were yesterday. Needless to say, I was very proud to be one of them who had the opportunity to sit in the classroom and listen to him.

A writer described a writing technique in literature as a wordplay or a journalistic trick: "... For example, if you say that there are elephants flying in the sky, people are not going to believe you. But if you say there are four hundred and twenty-five elephants in the sky, people will probably believe you." (Gabriel José García Márquez)

For me, literature is an art that adorns our life and leads us on the journey to a marvelous world, and involves us as if we were a part of it. It enriches our soul, gives us hope, and makes us laugh irresistibly or moved us to tears, engages us in thoughts and touches our souls in the gentlest and deepest way.

Time has never gone so quickly as it has during my student life at the University of Kassel (http://cms.uni-kassel.de/). From September 2002 to June 2003, I spent (two foreign semesters ) at the University College Dublin (http://www.ucd.ie/) in Ireland. At the beginning of of 2007, I finished my master degree in American studies and Economics Science successfully.
