Economic Science (German Diploma)
During the course of my American studies, I was also enrolled in October 2005 at the University of Kassel (http://cms.uni-kassel.de/) studying economics. With majors in International Marketing and Management & Administrative and Economic Information, I expect to graduate in the beginning of 2008. I am very satisfied with my study in economics because this is the field that best suits my interests, and an area within which I will develop my professional career in the future.
Presently I am reading the book "Shakespeare marketing: build up your competence" by Karl Heinz Troxler. According to this book, Shakespeare was a successful entrepreneur: by presenting his audiences with plays which were mature for the stage, he offered his customers products that satisfied their demands and captured their interests, and thus reached its "unique marketing proposition".
Just as the above-mentioned book points out, the art of marketing lies in identifying the customer's needs and wants and introducing at the right products at right time in the right place to the right person. Currently, I am in the process of writing my thesis about segmentation on the Chinese consumer Market. Due to the size as well as population of the country (P.R. China), thorough knowledge of the Chinese market and customer is the key to success.
